Installation Methods

The IDU 980L can be deployed in a variety of scenarios and on several different types of racks, cabinets, and surfaces.

The IDU 980L can be installed:

  • In a 300 mm-deep European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) cabinet
  • In a 600 mm-deep ETSI cabinet
  • In a 450 mm-deep 19-inch cabinet
  • In a 600 mm-deep 19-inch cabinet
  • In a 19-inch open rack
  • In a wireless-equipment outdoor cabinet

When installed in an outdoor cabinet, an IDU 980L has a 30A power capacity, allowing up to 12 IF/RF directions to be configured, does not support hybrid configuration of ISM6 ,ISM8 and ISV3, and supports a maximum of six service boards in extended slots.

When an IDU 980L is installed in an outdoor cabinet, its IF configurations vary depending on the models of system control, switching, and timing boards and IF boards. For details, see Table 1.

IDU Labels

Product nameplate labels, qualification card labels, ESD protection labels, grounding labels, laser safety class labels, high temperature warning labels, and operation warning labels, and other types of labels are attached to their respective positions on the IDU chassis or boards. Adhere to the warnings and instructions on the labels when performing various types of tasks, thereby avoiding bodily injuries or damage to the IDU.
